The Dangers of Spyware
My friend is an angler, at least that's what he dreams of, on a daily basis he repairs small networks and performs an outstanding job and possesses a fine reputation. When I have a personal computer dilemma, Jody is the emergency number I reach for and no matter how challenging or complex the problem, give him some room and he'll ferret out a way out. He mentioned something disconcerting last night, it seems that a large percentage of the home computers he services have spyware or adware on their systems, and most people are uninformed of it; only calling him when their PCs grind to a halt.
The world wide web is similar to a living, breathing organism constantly evolving, and sometimes not in a constructive path, though it definitely has given me opportunities. As times flows and proficiency moves forward, so too does malware, spyware and adware. It is crucial in today's environment to have Spyware Removal tools on your system and to use it often; essential is running software updates, since what may have worked yesterday might miss a virus or spywarecreated today.
As research for this musing (using a separate and clean system) I ran a test, removing any spyware removal software then visiting several auto surf sites. These sites are ideal for new marketers, allowing them the opportunity to deliver traffic to their own websites, simply by their at other relevant sites. The operation is performed this way:
The surfer is shown a site at random (usually category specific) and credits are debited to his/her account The credits are assigned to a site you want to promote. when others follow the same process, the site you want to promote is shown. The system allows everyone to receive traffic to their sites.
This allows anyone to quickly send traffic to their sites, but some (not all) of these sites are either owned by or frequented by people with dishonesty on their mind. Their scheme not to merely display their offer or website, but to install spyware on your home computer. And with today's technology much of this spyware is sophisticated enough to trigger the download of spyware onto your home computer, simply by visiting their innocent looking marketing offer. I'm not criticizing these sites or suggesting that all are bad, I am suggesting vigilance and suggesting you be confident your home computer is defended.
If this concerns you, experienced people say you already have or will soon run into spyware or adware. If you're thinking, I don't visit movies or music sites and I definetely don't install tainted titles, then congratulations, but you are remain open to attacks. Take the precaution. Remember the old warning...
'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure'
You must be the one to take the protective measures. There is a lot of your data, either from your job or privacy concerns; just imagine opening your eyes up to discover all your data vanished. Appalling, completely... Could it happen?... Yes it could. Avoidable? Yes you can by getting a copy of the right spyware removal software.
Okay are you listening now, maybe you're thinking what will spyware and adware do to my computer. Great, glad to know you're taking heed. Mostly spyware/adware are not are not created to ruin your system, but silent reporters. Collecting datathen reporting your habits to a database somewhere; the spyware may trigger ads and they most certainly will choke your computer, slow your CPU speed and reduce your connection speed to the world wide web. It's not so much the damage done, but the fact that your life, your privacy, your system has been breached and these people (whomever they are) have no right to be there.
I'm very grateful there are intelligent people who feel exactly the same way that I feel; meaning these programmers intend to not take this lying down. I'm not a programmer, I'm a writer, and I write these facts to give advance warning and recommend you take precautions and guard your home computer. I am grateful to those programmers with the intelligence and spirit to code then make available these top drawer spyware removal tools.
Once you make a decision on one of the spyware/malware removal tools to install, I'd propose frequent scans of your system. If the programs are setup properly, most of the grunt work is done on autopilot, and most likely while you're away from your system.
